Yep our arguments are legendary......

He's cantankerous....
Crabbby...:burn:
Ornery....
Politically Polarized.....:scared:
Getting Old.....:kiss:
Frustrating....
Blunt....
Outspoken......:argue:
Candid....
Never afraid to speak his mind.....on any issue...:thumbsup::kicknuts:
When we text or talk sometimes the words and insults are worse.....:scared:
but that's how it is...with him and his circle of friends....who share insults freely....that's the generation they came from...when Men were Men....and there wasn't the hyper sensitivity there is today.....
They speak freely and bluntly to each other every day.....no matter where they are.......

1.He's also one of the most generous guys you would ever have the pleasure to meet....
with his time, things he has donated to others....and good causes....:clapping:
He would give you the shirt off his back...if you needed it......

2. Fought tenaciously with some of the other old timers for fishing and fishermen rights...
Regular attendee at various fisheries management meetings.....

3. Was involved with the bunker bill.....
And pushing with various fishing clubs he belongs to..... for fishermen involvement in several other key pieces of legislation....

4. Striped bass research...collecting scale samples before the last moratorium......
Striped bass Conservation....fighting tirelessly for Striped bass Awareness and Conservation for the last few decades......

5. Fishing Access..... (compare that to the conditions in Jetty Row beach replenishment today...where our beloved jetties are being covered in sand....despite the ineffectiveness....Every day you have dozens complaining on the Internet...
Yet when it came time to stand up...very few were willing to step up and be heard....)

6. Fishing Access protests....having fought with the old timers in a fishermen rolling blockade of Spring Lake back in the early 80's when they denied access to fishermen....and when people actually got involved in these things......http://stripersandanglers.com/Forum/images/icons/icon3.png

7. He and his friends were also a fixture at the iconic Long Branch Fishing pier...back in its heyday...

And....despite all the health and personal challenges he has faced through the last 5 years....is still standing....a little worse for the wear and tear....but a survivor nonetheless.....:thumbsup:

I keep telling the new folks here....
One night spent fishing with Fin....
Is like 1 year fishing by yourself....he continually outfishes his friends......one of the most productive and successful fishermen out there.....

Truly....he is one of the NJ Saltwater Legends I speak about.......
In several threads here....and is as much as part of NJ's Saltwater fishing history....as Penn Squidders...and the old Harnell rods they used to fish on the bridges.....

I am also proud to call him a friend......
And a mentor as well........
I think you for all...and for opening my eyes to the conditions in Fishing today....
