New game of chicken, jumping off the Squan jetty?

I was walking the boards in Squan today with the wifey and saw something interesting. There were at least 7 young guys on the ends of the Squan jetty where the concrete jacks are. Most of them were not fishing just looking or hanging out near the water. Some of them jumped in and swam back to the rocks to do it again. Those jacks are covered in slime. I thought you were not able to walk out without korkers. Apparently I was wrong.
What the heck is wrong with these kids today?

I have seen them do that. I guess when you're younger you think you're indestructible. All you need is one kid to slip and crack his skull out there and that will change.
