I was checking the nj.com fishing reports and this is what he said-

"There are lots of short fluke in Shark River, but keepers are hard to come by in an area loaded with divers spearfishing for market. Some of those divers shoot everything and measure later. As a result there are many fluke caught with holes in them. It's amazing that some manage to survive being shot."

Are spear fishermen allowed to sell fluke?
If true that sucks. How come the rest of us can't do that? And why are they allowed to shoot short fish and put that back? It doesn't make sense. I would think the fish would be dead with a spear hole in it?

I never heard of them selling fish. I thought you weren't allowed to sell any fish legally in NJ without the license. I could be wrong tho.
