Jumping jive look at all that bait! No wonder they have so many stripers there.

did you guys watch the video to the right titled cape cod canal topwater 9/2? amazing fishery. I still have this pet pieve of people catching a fish. handling it a long time, weighing it for the bragging rights all the while hanging the fish by its jaws and then just throwing it back into the water because you are too damn lazy to walk 3 steps down and release it properly. I guess it's just my issue.

Yeah I clicked on that video 9 / 2.
Not trying to criticize the guy but it looks like he is kind of a newbie. He fights the bass from up on the road and doesn't even go down to the rocks until the last minute. He could probably do a little better in the catch and release department. Jmho

I think you are right. If you look at his video from the day before he is holding the rod like a freshwater bass fisherman.

Thanks for sharing. Wow that is intense. Never saw that many stripers in a natural setting in my life without them blitzing. Does anyone know what that school of bait fish is that is real thick? The ones that are dark and about 5" long? God there are so many of them the water is brown.

Its hard to tell from looking at the video. There are thousands of them. Heard there were a lot of pollock up there. My guess is its pollock and the smaller fish are whitebait.

Watching that makes me feel bad that I don't live there. And that we have to put up with the scattered spring and fall runs that we do. That canal is loaded with fish. Would love to see that here just once.
