Read lots of fish but they seemed to have lockjaw-
I see that a lot on the boat fishing reports. What does that mean to you guys? Maybe I am stupid but if there are really lots of fish wouldn't they want to eat? Is it possible they are bunker or something else besides stripers? thanks

If a full time Capt said it you would tend to believe it more. Some of these weekend warriors with boats can't find fish unless they follow the party boats out and mug them. Those are the guys who can't tell the difference between regular fish and bait. Bunker are often sizable so to a novice seeing bunker down deep they might think they are seeing a vast school of small stripers because they don't know any better.
Also fish eat at certain times. When feeding on bunker they night gorge themselves for half a day or an afternoon. Then they're full and may not eat again for a day or two. Hope that helps.
