Any of you folks that own and use drones out there might be interested in this.
https://www.faa.gov/news/press_releases/news_story.cfm?newsId=19856

Free registration for the first 30 days.
Owners may register through a web-based system at www.faa.gov/uas/registration (http://www.faa.gov/uas/registration)
Registrants will need to provide their name, home address and e-mail address. Upon completion of the registration process, the web application will generate a Certificate of Aircraft Registration/Proof of Ownership that will include a unique identification number for the UAS owner, which must be marked on the aircraft.

Owners using the model aircraft for hobby or recreation will only have to register once and may use the same identification number for all of their model UAS. The registration is valid for three years.

I can see why they're so popular. Video of a guy using a drone catching a fish. He also seems like an idiot because he violates the fishing area of everyone else.:lynchmob:

I saw a video where a guy filmed some of the rhode island coast using one. Beautiful footage. Makes sense they would be an issue in crowded areas. You should always think of the safety of others.
