steel leaders does it matter for blues?

Hey guys I was using bunker yesterday and got some blues. I also used steel leader. Wondered if some of you think it makes a difference. How about when using artificials and lures do you use steel leaders too? Thanks

Fishing bait no worries at all you could use a bicycle cable as a leader and they will still take that meat. They do have pretty good eyesight. When the water is clear or a full moon I never use a steel leader when plugging. That's just me.
