Tony Arcabascio of Bayville proudly reported the biggest striper ever caught on his Tony Maja bunker spoons as Sal Mineo trolled the #4 multi-color model to boat a 61.42-pounder out of Barnegat Inlet. I'll have more details in an upcoming blog.*
Though it wasn't quite as large, Capt. Howard Bogan is excited about the 57 3/16-pound striper caught Tuesday evening by Alice Omichi on the Jamaica from Brielle as it was the largest ever caught on that vessel. Better yet, it broke up a night when the bass never turned on -- and only two others were boated.
