I have read a lot lately about taking those mole crabs and putting a few on the hook for some stripers. Some of the dudes I know swear by bunker heads.
Which do you guys think produces better in the summer months? Thanks

I'm not an expert, but it seems like it would matter the types of beaches that you fish.

What's better then mole crabs are shedder calico crabs. I used to fish them a long time ago, raking around the new and full moons. Those are the ones that will put you into bigger bass in the teen and larger size. they do take a lot of work, and if you want to do it right you really should have a shedder tank at your house.

Bunker heads if your doing the bait thing just make sure the mouth is closed so it doesn't spin in the current and twist everything up.

I agree, bunker heads have always brought me the biggest fish. The mole crabs are a pita and mostly catch small stripers. and Not worth it but that's just my opinion.
