NY and LI shrinking access

Didn't see anything for the NY forums so I thought I would start one.
Access for 4x4s at Smith Point is closed at night. This really sucks. So much money they collect in fisherman fees and then they pull this crap. Unbelievable.

They claim they don't have the staff to support enforcement. If it isn't the plovers it's something else.

First year I have picked up this permit. It's a lot of beach closed off!
Something good like 6 miles I believe.

Has other areas of access attached to this permit, I hear some of them are closed or restricted too because of the birds.

Thank the new breed of fisherman who have no respect for anyone or anything. We had very few issues back in the day before cell phone and social media awareness of where to go

Sunken Meadow has the lot and area closed to getting to the river mouth because of the birds.
Ridiculously frustrating.
