Sad story, RIP

I went there with my Dad when I was a kid. The reef goes out pretty far, like a mile into the sound. The problem is, is that the path is unlevel. If you go out too far, and wait too long on the incoming tide you will have to swim back. Lots of guys panic, and I believe quite a few have lost their lives fishing at Pennfield. RIP
