1,000,000 is a big number. It also represents what some say are the total number of anglers, hunters and trappers in New Jersey.

We hear that there is power in numbers. It would certainly be true for 1,000,000 like-minded voters. This number is 15% of the total voting population in New Jersey – perhaps more importantly, it is 28% of the number of people who actually turnout to vote.

Make sure that the interests of anglers, hunters and trappers are clearly understood on Election Day. Registering to vote is quick and easy – but only if you're registered by October 14th.

Our voices have been silent for too long. The most powerful group of voters in the state of New Jersey has allowed others to make the rules for them. It is time for anglers, hunters and trappers to assume their place as New Jersey’s most coveted voting bloc.

Unleash the power. Register and VOTE!

I think you said it all in that one paragraph, Ant. We fishermen have no idea of the complete contributions we make to the economy. If people could ever get organized and stay focused on a point instead of all the infighting, we could be as powerful a lobby as the NJEA.

Good post and links.
