Why don't more lure fisherman use fishing lure retrievers?

I think they're a great idea, especially for those who tend to loose lures on a regular basis.
Yes, there is a lot of technique in not getting snagged, but I see too many anglers trolling too far from the bank and away from snags. They certainly don't get snagged as much but they don't catch as many fish either.

My lure retriever has saved many lures. Mine recently broke so I am looking into a new one. Will not be without one for long.
