Can it go bad, how long can you keep it for? I have some bunker which has been in the freezer for 8 months? Can I still use it?

Maybe for shark chum. The best way to keep frozen bait is to put some kosher salt on it, and then put it away. Lasts a lot longer.

Yup, salting works even better for clams, toughens em up.

Kosher salt is the best, I use it in the spring when we catch herring in the Delaware.

Is it true that if you salt and then freeze your bait that freezing stops the salting action? I would think that is true since once you freeze no brine can be created.
