View Full Version : Do you downsize your lure if there is no bait around?

I know the stuff about matching the hatch, big lures for big bait, small lures for small bait. What is the best thing to throw when there is no bait around, and you are plugging? Big or small? thanks

Depends on the time of the year for me. Summer, no, fall, yes.

I like rubber baits, storm shads and tsunamis, and bucktails.

only in the fall i down size thats it in the summer its full size everything:D

I only down size in the fall. Summer the game is on, I bet the fish lose.

Big in the spring and small in the fall unless there are full size bunker around.
