A good friend of mine is building a house. He told me that if you pour powered boric acid inside the walls it keeps the house free of roaches. Is this true? I told him if he has his kids clean up after themselves then he doesn't have to worry about roaches.:D

I never had roaches either. However, we need to remember that we can bring roaches home with us in boxes or grocery bags. They are not just caused by people not keeping clean houses.

Boric acid is a very effective roach-exterminating agent. If you can place it inside the walls while the house is under construction, you are ahead of the game. It will last as long as it remains dry.

I heard you can place boric acid in the kitchen under the sink and the refrigerator. Be careful where you put it (away from kids and pets) boric acid can be toxic if ingested in large quantities.
