Maybe a little redundant, but something that's not productive for me gets left at home or on the bottom of the workbench. Another thing,,,I think guys are too eager to plug early in the season. There is nothing wrong with using bait until the warmer water and greater variety of forage make it worthwhile to plug.

Some of you younger guys are too impatient also. There's a thread here about fishing rubber worms for largemouth. The guide has his clients reel in so slowly they can't stand it. The point of that is not that it works all the time, but to learn how to slow down and feel the structure you're fishing through.

My advice is to fish your lure different ways and under different conditions before you decide it doesn't work.
