swimming darters

How does the swimming action of darters change relative to the size of the hooks you are using?

It depends on how big of a hook you are replacing it with ss darters have 3/0 trebles on the 2.5 oz. and 4/0 on the 3 oz. What I do with all my plugs is to replace the rear treble with a larger VMC siwash hook usually 6/0 on the darters I also cut one hook off the the front treble making it a double hook easier unhooking them blooofish other than that I do not change much on my darters they are designed with a delicate balance so they do not roll and swim properly the stock hooks are big enough.

What surfstix said. I would add to what he said about VMCs for any plugs. The disappointment of losing a big fish being ill-prepared lasts long after the fish is gone.
