Hooks

I have an old plug which I want to change the hooks on. It has two treble hooks. Should I use a split rings or not?

sure ya can,they will enhance that plugs action too,allowing it to move freer.
you can even try it with and without to see which action you want more!

I would definately add the split rings. As RP said you will get better action.
