A while back I met a guy who makes his own rod holders customized for the piers and railings he fishes.
He's a smart guy, has a couple of patents to his name. He's very low key, and showed me these rod holders he was thinking of selling.
Only problem, if they go in the tackle shops they become too expensive because of the markup. So I'm putting up a thread for him here, anyone who's interested contact him.
This is for local people only, you'll have to pick it up to save on the shipping.
He's selling them for $25.
(the hardware and parts alone has gotta be close to $15 to put together, so $25 ain't a bad price to secure your rods so the monsters of the deep don't pull them in)
