teaser messes up line

When ever I use a teaser rig my braid line gets messed up. How can I prevent this?

Use a teaser rig
Close bail manually
Come tight on line against the spool before reeling

^ What he said, plus don't use braid for the teaser, you should have a mono set up with a mono leader for the teaser and terminal plug clip.
