Details:

15 years in business. they used to be in Jersey City, then moved to 820 Broadway, Bayonne, then moved across the street to 805 Broadway.

What they stock:

The same stuff you can get in any tackle shop, dozens of rods, many different reels, plugs, gear, nets, gaffs, terminal tackle, sinkers, crab traps, beach carts with the big wheels.

The difference here is the Japanese stuff. you can get Japanese lures and specialty Japanese rods you can't find anywhere else.

A quote from their site:.
True World Tackle also has custom fishing rods which are built by Japanese special builder in Japan. We also carry some Japanese special fishing line, lures and other items from Japan.

Business Edge:

True World also has a full service department for rod repair. Mark is an expert at winding line on reels for surf fishermen, and setting up gear and rigging for offshore trips. He has been doing this for Akira for 8 years.:clapping::clapping:

You name it we have it, or we can get it for you! :fishing:

We also have a large variety of live, fresh and frozen bait. Fresh lively eels are only $1.50 each, one of the lowest prices in the area.
Fresh Bait all the time!

Wall of Gamakatsu! If they don't have it, Gamakatsu doesn't make it!

A special note of :thumbsup: for Mark, the guy who put this stuff on the shelves. He's a compulsively organized person, and did this when Akira opened the new shop. Set up all the shelves and pegboards, organized everything so it was within easy reach of the customers. I was there when he started doing it. Now it's all done, and he still claims it doesn't look good enough!

When you stop by there, let him and Akira know we appreciate the organized job he did. :clapping:
