Lures at night

Do the fish go after dark colored lures at night because it sees the shadows and not the color. Bunker is a flashy silver color so why do dark color lures work?

Apparently the dark colors show a better outline against the night sky. I believe any color will provide an outline, but black or purple have always worked better for me.

my first deal is size,I tend to use larger when visibilty is lower so it gives a fat profile.seems to have worked all these years,I say it matters more than color does.
I even use a huge,fat white swimmer at night and it gets smashed too.
