Harbor Tackle Fishing Report June 12, 2009
I have not heard much from the surf this past week. Kingfish, blues, dogfish and sand bar sharks in the suds. Hopefully, there may still be a few stripers and drum left. Lots of shad have been caught in the Inlet using spec rigs with some blues. I heard of a trigger fish taken from the Inlet this past week. Most of the flounder being caught have been less than 18 inches. It seems plenty of flounder up to 17 ¾ inches, but not many big enough to keep. One of my customers hit a school of croakers behind the airport on Thursday. Some nice stripers at the Rt. 50 Bridge and still a few nice tog around the area.
Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live peelers, live minnows, live chowder clams, live black saltys, live eels, live green crabs, and salted sea/surf clams.
