I got some old metals I was thinking of painting. Is this possible and if so what type of paint should I use?

If you are really into it you can take the old rusted ones that won't polish up, scuff them with sandpaper, at least 100 grit, and paint them silver with a coat of clear after the silver dries. Use epoxy spraypaint for a quick fix, I feel it's tougher than enamel. A cool trick to do, if you want to increase daytime effectiveness, is to cut strips of reflective tape, like they have on deadly *****, and put small stripes on them. It works great for sunny days.
