Nine people survived after their boat capsized in the Intracoastal Waterway in Cape May. They are very lucky. Could have ended in disaster. Good job by the Coast guard. :clapping:

Nine people escaped drowning tonight when they made it safely to shore after their boat capsized in the Intracoastal Waterway in Cape May County, Coast Guard officials said.

The group's boat tipped over at 6 p.m. just west of Sea Isle City, Petty Officer Michael Fortier of the Coast Guard station at Cape May said. The nine people were reported safely on shore 20 minutes later.

"It would be nice if we had a nice hero story to tell, but they're safe, and that's what's important," Fortier said.
The petty officer did not immediately know how the nine got to shore or why they were on the water. Their identities, gender and relationship to one another were not available.

Sometimes the Coast guard is a PITA, but you really appreciate them if you're in trouble.
