How do you go about choosing which plug you use first?

This is a tricky ? it depends on a lot of factors if the fish are blitzing the super strike poppers come out.If I am searching for the fish the first one out is a bucktail tipped w/ porkrind red at night and white or yellow during the day 2nd out is a shorty hopkins.Metal lipped swimmers are great around the rocks fished slow and keep contact with the lure at all times.Darters are fished in fast moving currents slow if I have the wind in my face hard out comes the bottle plugs. The secret to any plug that swims is SLOW and keep in contact if you are bored with swimmers you are probably fishing them right.I do not deal with pencil poppers so someone else can give you the drill on them.Needlefish are one of the most mysterious plugs around and can be fished a hundred different ways these you relly need to experiment with.Just my .02 cents.
