I wanted to start crabbing on the weekends, maybe in the barnegat or raritan bay area. I know how to get the crabs, we usually throw out chicken necks on the handlines. But what if you wanted to do more, and get some traps. Anyone know the limits and how many before you need to get a license? Thanks in advance, guys.

only need the license if you use the large Maryland style crab pots
The license is $2 and can be purchased at any place that sells fishing licenses . Brielle Bait and Tackle has them. for what you are doing you don't need one
