Sharkin Report From The Surf

Well with the bigger fish done until mid Sept., I found myself jonzin for a "pullage" fix. I rigged my rods a little heavier and headed out to do battle with the toothy critters. Did pretty good the first night out. I landed a nice 5' Sandbar and a 5' Sandtiger as well

Pretty work finaddict. Looks like you were fishing close to a channel somewhere, that makes sense. Where I fish there are no real channels except for the inlet. You just set up near a cut, and lob the bait out there, maybe throw a little bloody chum out too. And the sharks just cruise up and down the beach at night. Good report, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the report. How big are the sharks where you are? How about if you yakked out a whole bunker or bluefish out a few hundred feet, ripping up the stomach so the scent would travel. Any thoughts on that?:wow::dribble:

Thanks everyone. To answer your questions, I am fishing right off the surf and tossing the baits out. I catch spot first, then I use the spot to catch kingfish. I use the Kingfish for bait and the Spot as well. I use all of the fish in chunks.

There is a few people yakking out baits and using chum buckets, but my sharks are just as big as thiers, just tossing baits. :D

Decided to do some sharken last night finaddict and planned on stayen allnight but we hit the beach mid afternoon to catch some bait (which was hard to come by) managed a few blues.

we caught several small sand bars before dark, my son hunter landing one around 4ft.Then we made a move to a new spot for bigger teeth:D I ended up with several nice shark in the 5-6ft range the biggest being a 65" dusky. Finaddict destiny landed several nice ones also.. I'm sure he'll post pick soon.
