You beat me to it Frankie! :clapping::thumbsup:

For those of you who don't know, Frankie is the Vice President of the NY chapter of the club. Most of us will actually probably be arriving on 10/22/TH, and staying at least through 10/25/SU. I'm really looking forward to once again poking around those hallowed shores  , and meeting some more folks who share the disease with which we are so fortunate to have been infected  :kooky: :don't know why: :naughty: :ROFLMAO:

Jake, I have a feeling you were infected long before you discovered surfcasting and skishing. I think surfcasting is the thing that stabilizes you and prevents you from having to dig holes for all those bodies in your yard. :kooky::HappyWave:

I'm in! I might be out of state, but if I'm anywhere near the state of NJ or NY at that time, I'll make it up there.

HA!! I know better than to put them in my yard.... :kooky: ;)

It's way too rocky....

If anyone wants more information, feel free to contact either myself, JakeF or the Grand Poobah, Stripercoast1.

This should be a blast with all the characters from up north invading that humble little fishing town here on the East End of L.I. .

Believe it or not, a lot of people have never been to Montauk. Gas prices and the economy have some people cutting back on the trips they make. I'm telling ya it's definitely worth the trip.

I can't wait to skish out to those out of casting range blitzes that frustrated the hell out of us last year! I am hoping to have some real good stuff planned for this year. Involving food, with a little thing I call "Slap YO' Momma Chicken".
Hoping to have a truck load of plugs ready to throw at the members as well as the fish.

This is going to be a great trip. Some may head down Wednesday night if it doesn't land us in Divorce court. :don't know why:

I hope to see many people I only know by avatar and screen name there.

As this thing gets closer, and the excitement builds, I would like to do all I can to draw as many non members to this event as I can.
Many folks have predisposed attitudes towards opinions of clubs.
We believe this club is far differant from any other out there. We are not competing with ither clubs for membeship. Being in another club Locally based, adds to the strength of both organizations. With chapters building in all east coast states we as a whole work across state lines and local towns to assist our brother surf casters in any issues that arise. Thats the political part of the club.
In my opinion the most important aspect of the club are the folks I have met and fished with. Never would I have looked at going to Montauk with as much confidence to be successfull if it were not for the outstanding hard core fisherman I will be joining with down there. Our members share an electronic club house unreadable to the general public that we can share even the most specific information without worrying about attracting crowds. At any time any member wishing to join me at even my most cherished uncrowded difficult access spots will be welcomed. I share my knowledge, and experiance just for the asking. I have known this attitude from other members of this club as well.
We promote conservation, and catch and release without the Nazi attitude attached. We enjoy eating Striped Bass, keeping a few on occaision, but our club sponsored events are catch and release plugs and eels only. There are times to fish and trimes to party, and never shall the 2 happen at the same time. Our events are alcohol and drug free. We do not use fishing as an excuse to get drunk.
Our home page, under the "About us" button contains our "Code of Cunduct", the thing that sets us apart from most other clubs. Check us out, get to "M" and have a blast. You will not regret coming.
