Is fishing always enjoyable?

Would you say that even when you get :skunk:that fishing was enjoyable?

I can truthfully say there are very few times I have gone on a fishing trip when it didn't calm or help to balance my mood, skunk or no skunk. :thumbsup: The one caveat to that is that some of the worst fishing trips I remember were when I depended on other people. Hence, I tend to fish alone a lot.

Could care less that I got skunked I just enjoy being out there doing what I love and I can really appreciate it now because I'm injured and cannot fish. I fish by myself 95% of the time also.

The only time people ruin a trip for me is when it is others on the beach. None of my buddies has ever made for a bad time. It is others on the beach that are selfish, rude , annoying, breaking the law etc.. that ruin it for me. Other than that, I don't care what or if I catch, it is just being out there that I find enjoyable. A nice Bass every once in a while doesn't hurt though.

I think for people who have a need to be outdoors, a day on the water or surf is like taking a vitamin drink. It can boost your ability to take crap from people in the real world much more than you think.:D
