Seriously though, where I fish, a guy cannot narrow this down to just one thing besides a rod and something to throw, if they want to fish safely and effectively that is...

I try to make sure I have an extra headlight as I usually fish at night.

I ususally tie my main line to a barrel and then to my leader and then to my snap. I need to start makin them ahead and have them ready when bluefishin. Pain in the a__ trying to tie them in the dark especially when it's raining.

My leader wallet w/ pre-tied leaders,flashlight or headlamp w/ extra batteries,knife,pliers,bug spray or a good cigar,sunglasses,hat,water bottle and a safety pin to pick away at wind knots in braid.I think thats it besides lures and a rod.:huh:

I knew I would forget something a tape and scale for the biggins a quick measure and weight and in it goes 40 lber. is my next goal got my 30 and 35 lbers.
