NJ teen missing in rough surf at shore resort

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. - A New Jersey teenager is missing after being knocked down in rough surf in Seaside Heights.
Police say the 16-year-old from Voorhees, Camden County, was among a group of seven teenage boys on a beach outing organized by Youth Consultation Services, a nonprofit social services organization.
The boy was swimming with a second teen when they were knocked over by a large wave around 1 p.m. A lifeguard rescued the second teen but was unable to grab the 16-year-old.
The Coast Guard and New Jersey State Police units assisted lifeguards and local emergency response teams in the search effort.

What a terrible story. Here they are just heading out for a fun day at the beach and one never comes home. I guess you never know when you will be called back home. May he RIP.
