How many clams do you take out with you for one night?

Some people would rather not fish clams, that's ok. ;) I have broadened my bait horizons this year. When nothing else is working, clams will produce. I usually bring a dozen if by myself, or 2 or 3 dozen if someone is coming with me. I like to shuck them first, less weight to carry if you're walking and bait fishing. They're great to use when you have the noreast weather patterns, they do "match the hatch" because that's what you see washed up on the beach during these times.
