Higher fines

I read that the EU has issued higher fines and tougher penalties for illegal fishing.

There are plenty of poachers out there. Do you believe that stiffer penalties will stop the illegal fishing or just make them be more devious in their deception?

They will just dig more holes to spread their poaching catches out.

They should give higher fines to the commercial poachers, with the possible loss of their boat. Anything less is a slap on the wrist.

Once a poacher always a poacher. I read after the 4th time they lose their license. Why not the first time?
