Poles

I went out last night to bait fish. Ater about 20 minutes of hanging and waiting for my cow the reel started to sing. I made a major googan error and fell over some rocks. I was unaware that I lodged the tip in a deep narrow hole between the rocks and when I yanked up to set the hook I snapped the rod.

This has to be the third pole I have broken during my years of fishing. What are the number of poles you have broken?

2 in 50 years and niether were on a fish

Two.
1 because I believe I had bad line (PowerPro) that broke during a cast, line broke, rod broke.
Second after a fight with a bib blue fish, the rod broke on the next cast.
