Atlantic Highly Migratory Species News
The National Marine Fisheries Service announces the extension of the comment period for the proposed rule to amend the Atlantic bluefin tuna General and Harpoon category regulations (74 FR 57128, November 4, 2009). The comment period has been extended from December 21, 2009, to March 31, 2010, to allow for submission of additional comment from the public and other interested parties.
Please see the attached announcement for further information. The Federal Register notice of the comment period extension will publish on December 24, 2009. The Federal Register notice of the November 4, 2009, proposed rule is also attached.
