when will you start fishing?

I usually feel claustrophobic in the winter. I itch for the spring season to begin. First sign of fish I'll be back on the water. When do you return to the water?

I would jig in a fishtank if I could. My wife thinks im a retard because all I do is read, check the internet, and talk to guys about fishing. I guess spending three hrs a day on facebook is healthy though. :kooky:

I think we all have our vices rip. My wife had a problem with shopping too much, and as a result we had some credit cards we had to pay off, some scary times. Now we use only one or 2 cards and life is much simpler. As for fishing, i usually start in late March or early April. I wait for water temperatures to become more consistent.

Ask her if she would rather you spnd your time doing that, or in a strip club throwing bills at the strippers. Not a good question to ask during her time of the month, though.;)

If we are talking about Striped Bass fishing, New York season opens April 15th that's when I start Bass fishing.

I saw the video of you with the bluefish. HYSTERICAL. Can't wait to start fishing. Hopefully we can teach each other a lot. Like I said I have a boat and you and Dark are always welcome to come as long as I have room.

Rip, you shoulda seen him as he was up to his chest in water as he ran back over the troth to get that rod. Even though he's my friend, I nearly lost it laughing at him as everything unfolded in slo motion. :ROFLMAO

He was soaked by the time he reached that rod. :laugh:

The cool thing about G is no matter how bad it gets, he always manages to redeem himself. :thumbsup: He made a 20 second dash in 5 secs, it was priceless! :wow: The only thing missing would have been if he had to dive onto the sand as the pole was being dragged into the water. As he was having good luck that day rather than his usual "buzzard's luck", he made it to the rod in time to get the fish.

It's all good, I probably do more insane or stupid stuff than he does. We've had some great times in 2009 laughing at and busting on each other. That's some of the stuff that makes fishin with him so great. We're just a bunch of regular goof-offs who love fishin. :fishing:

You call G up anytime, no matter what the weather, tell him you're goin, and he's in. That's what fishin means to me. I'm sure we'll have some great times on your boat. I'm in for a trip, just don't ask me to bring the clams, they might be kinda stinky. ;)

I will be fishing march 1 south jersey cape may area. Worms on the beach. Prob will get the big skunk but I am dying to get out.

^^ I might try to find some tapeworms this year. Going to try to get in touch with ds or jbarbosa for one of their super secret tape worm spots. I have a general idea, find a muddy creek mouth and dig, but don't want to sink in the mud. I really don't think fish will be active the first week of March because of all the ice runoff though.
