Teen run over by empty car

A teenage boy has died after being crushed by an unoccupied car while he was fishing near Newcastle.
The 14-year-old was fishing near a road in Hexham when a four-wheel drive rolled down the riverbank and pinned him against a concrete drain.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital, but was unable to be revived.
The driver of the four-wheel drive, a 47-year-old man from Ashtonfield, has been taken by police for mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
