Shout out to Surfstix1963

Today he's under the knfe in a serious operation. :(

I didn't want to embarass him and go into a lot of details, other than to say that he has serious medical issues that caused him many painful days and nights. Those who know him know that he's the type who hates to complain. He would instead rather focus on the lives of others, and always tends to minimize his own problems. He's such a helpful and thoughtful guy many would never have known about the medical issues he faces.

Just putting this up here to let him know that he's not alone. :plastered:

He faces a long period of recovery. I don't know how soon he'll be able to come back and visit us.

I do know that he'll be able to look at a computer sooner or later & see our well-wishes, and any funny stuff we put up here.

I got the call from his wife :HappyWave: that he made it out of the operation OK. He'll still be in the hospital for a few days though.

Thanks, This season is definitly out and depending on when they want to do back surgery could put me down for another season or 2.Keep up w/ the fishing techniques I may have to retrain myself.May be awhile before I can throw RP's little plug. Hey people just want to give a shout out for Surfstix. I think today is the latest surgery. Not as serious as the last, but still a major surgery. This is one more thing he has to go through on his long road to recovery.

It will be a while back to walking normal without pain and being able to participate in the things many of us take for granted.

Here's letting you know that we were thinking of you Surfstix, and hope everything goes OK with the surgery. Anyone who wants to extend well-wishes, feel free to do here. :thumbsup: I think he might be reading this when he gets a chance.

Surfstix isn't out of the woods yet. He developed a fever and is still stuck in the hospital. That probably means there is some kind of infection, complications from the operation. He could still use thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to al lI really appreciate it, they finally let me go home still running a fever need to keep an eye on that I'm taking antibiotics for that .I do need a walker to aid in getting out of a chair and to get around the house still taking major pain meds and muscle relaxers I want to donate a plug for Speedy's son But I will have to get my wife to go down in the man cave to get it and take a pic to post up I can't get down there I am using her laptop to check in.So hows the fishing:d
