In California there is a law that states you can only use two rods in freshwater fishing if you have a stamp for each rod. Should we have a similiar law out here on the east coast limiting the number of rods when fishing the salt?

The people that set up 5 or 6 rods will continue to do it anyway, its kind of fun watching the blues come through and seeing the antics of which rod they shouldI grab.

I say they should. Like surfstix said it might not stop everyone. I for one am sick and tired of walking onto a jetty or cut at the beach and one guy has the whole side covered with his rods so you can't fish.

The only time I enjoy those idiots who do that is like you said when the blues come through, and also when their lines all cross up and it takes the losers 1/2 hour to re-rig.

Even when you hit the surf the amount of rods can be out of contol for one guy. Each guy puts up 5 or 6 rods there no room left. I would vote for rod limits.
