Does anyone make their own lead and if so how time consuming is it?

After cost of melting pot and molds its worth it if you go through a lot of lead. I'm pouring sinkers at 6 cents an ounce. Also making my own bucktails. Something to do over the winter. Have some friends come over divide up some lead and get pouring.

I have a friend who used to pour lead all the time in his basement. I never took the time to watch him. He always enjoyed doing it and his wife never complained. As you said, HD, it probably kept him busy in the winter.

I have started to do that this winter. It's not very time consuming at all. Just wear gloves and a mask when working with it and wash thoroughly when done
