Question on state licensing

The fees for out of state residences is way out of line. If you pay for a license in another state for saltwater fishing can it be used in other states?

Not a 100 % sure but I believe the answer is no, I believe you must buy a daily or weekly or whatever they offer in that state unless on a charter & the boat has the proper licence.I'm sure every state differs thats another PITA it should all be the same rules so we are all on the same page.It should be that you can use it in another state as long as you follow their regulations.

If you buy, say a new york license, it is good in NJ CT and RI. This is starting next year though. This year one license or the federal registry will work for all of them.

As long as the state you buy it in honors reciprocity from it's neighboring states then you are fine. Most out of state license fees are very minimal, for now anyway.
