Do I always have to fish bombers at the surface and 2 or 3 feet down or can they be fished deeper?

That is about it. If you load them you may get them deeper.

Pretty much thats the deal w/ bombers as Frankie said find another swimmer that swims deeper or get a suspending lure that can be worked lower in the water column.

If you load them, make sure you are fishing deep enough water to warrant it, ie a rip, inlet, or a deep sloping beach. If the beach is shallow I would just fish a regular bomber.

I like loaded plugs in deeper pools at the end of breechways or any place like a bridge where the fish may not be feeding on top.

Or take the smallest of the bombers and load them, sometimes that works well also. I like to do that when the water is rough, and the wind is mild enough to get them out there. You can get fish right in the trough by doing that.
