March 23rd to May 21st

2 fish at 12 inches is the limit in NJ

I'll be out there but it's almost not worth it to fish for them.

I think it might be worth giving it a shot if you know where they are and can get them from shore. Also take some family members and a few kids so you can take some fish home for dinner and get loved ones involved. On the other hand I will not be splashing my boat early this year because of the regs. I will wait til the end of APR. beginning of May awaiting the arrival of the big spring run we have been seeing the last couple of years.
