I try to tell my wife the area I am fishing and if the weather is bad that I will check in by a certain time. This way she doesn't worry because she knows I'll touch base. I think if any guy had a wife who would let him go for days at a time, he's either the luckiest guy in the world or she has a boyfriend on the side.:d

That is very good SOP for any one who goes on a fishing trip at any time, storminsteve. Why make our loved ones worry?

I go away for a few days at a time occasionally. I call my wife on a regular basis.

HAHAHAHAH. I leave old clams in the garage for two reasons. 1 I love to be reminded of fishing by the smell and 2 the smell pisses my wife off. hahahah

This is why we're fishermen. Only a deranged bunch of people like us could come up with rationalizations like that.

Ever the eternal optimists, we can make the best of any situation, even getting kicked out of our houses by the wives.

(If you know Finchaser, you know that story is probably true...)

You forget your anniversary every year, but have no problem remembering to renew your fishing license.

Your eqiupment is worth more than your boat and your boat is worth more than your house.

That sounds great out there for a week.
Been fishing without waders or korkers the last 5 weeks (no rock climbing). I have been extra mobile...
Finally getting some cool weather, will start to feel like fishing weather.
