From casting to landing which is the hardest fish to catch and why?

For me, at the surf, the hardest fish for me to hook up with is the Albie, they drive me crazy sometimes, but I love 'em.

At times they can be right in front of me but won't accept anything thrown. Other times, blindcasting, they can be picked up with little effort.

As far as landing, well, they run and I hold on and enjoy it/they stop/I reel.

These Albies get in my head, too much fun.

Muskie has been the trouble fish for me. They like to hide out in weeds. I can see why they are called the fish of 1000 casts.

The hardest fish to catch?...Yesterday's fish!

When you get to a place and there is nothing happening, things are as dead as can be. But the people tell you:
"Man you should have been here yesterday, we KILLED EM!!!:wow:

Other than that, I would pick bonefish. :d
You have to stalk them, and do it stealthily. You can cast to them 1000 times, and they'll ignore you. All for a few blinding few speed runs when you do hook one. Probably similar to fishin for albies, and I imagine very frustrating. Then you get that magic hit, and it all becomes worthwhile... :lookhappy:

Blackfish have to have a place here. Talk about fishing sticky areas. On top of that the way they steal your bait and run you into the rocks. I like to fish for them because it is such a challenge but, also very frustrating. Did I mention that they are DELICIOUS

I would have to agree with naming the muskellenge. True trophy muskies are usually solitary, and very wary of anything that isn't completely natural.
I would also add bonefish to that list. Sight fishing for them on the flats can be an exercise in frustration.

GTs, gran trevally. You may get them to hit a plug, but good luck landing them. imo they bust up more tackle and gear than many other fish.

I would have to go with muskies for fresh water and albies for salt. Both have very good eyesight and tend to be spooky and unreliable.

Bass when they are on cinder worms.
