I have my leaders tied so it is about 24" long. Is this a good length? Sometimes I think it is a bit much and was wondering if I should shorten it to 18".

I never use under 36" as a big fish will roll in a short leader and pop your main line. If you do not want to catch big fish 18" is fine.
Exactly. 36" bare minimum. This gives me plenty of leader to take a wrap and gain control of the fish before I lip it.

I use between a 44" and 48" leader, a loop to attach a teaser rig is tied in 6"-8" down from where the braid attaches to the leader.

I like them to be 48" at least so I have something to grab onto for landing purposes you just need to pay attention so your barrel swivel or mono to mono knot doesn't go through the guides sometimes I'll shorten it depending on where I'm fishing.
