This happened yesterday, they're lucky they're ok in that cold water and that the coast guard showed up as quick as they did.

SEA BRIGHT — An early morning training turned into a rescue for members of the Manasquan Inlet Coast Guard Station when a nearby 17-foot pleasure craft/fishing boat began to take on water two miles off shore.

The Sandy Hook Coast Guard arrived on the scene and towed the vessel while the Manasquan crew transported three people on board to safe ground.

"The call came in by a good samaritan,'' said Petty Officer Christopher McLaughlin. "They (the three on the sinking vessel) didn't have a radio on board and had no way of making a may day call.''

No radio? Handheld? Nothing? They would have died for sure if it weren't for the other vessel. I just do not get it.....
