Whats your all time favorite lure/plug thats done the most damage for you? I would say a Hopkins has caught more fish for me than any other I have used my second choice would be a white SS popper.

For me , personally, I have always carried a small 4" Rebel plug-black over silver over white, intended for Bass. Doesn't cast that far unless the wind is at my back, but some people would be amazed at what cruises that first 20-25 feet of water, or even 2 feet from the take out. Nothing really big caught on it, but it's always thrown, if not first, then at some point in the trip.
For blues- any junk metal, beat up plug or popper- really no favorite, just enjoy seeing what the wackos will hit.

Bucktail, or metal lip swimmer, depends on time of season.

Are we talking rats here or quality fish?
Tins and Bucktails will catch tons of fish without a doubt.
I throw wood, when I see small and barely keepers coming to the beach, on bucks, and more than not, larger fish are waiting for bigger baits.
Fish big, catch big.

I like big wood for the bigger fish, but for sake of catching it would be the bucktail.

I had a lot of fun in the summer and fall of 2008 with this Rip-Pluger Plug. It was my number 1 plug.
Then I lost it to a Blue in 2009.
Its my all time favorite. Great waggle.

Blue over white 2 3/8 oz Atom Polaris Popper with sparkle on the back and white siwash. Casts a mile, slow sinking, has great wiggle when you reel it slow, pops. Durable plastic, stands up to blues. i mean, cmon, best lure of all time:d
That is until chef chris made me a replica of that same plug. check out his brand spankin new plug company 401plugworks.com

That's a sweet plug.
I try to keep it simple, I use bombers a lot. I know they're not as glamorous as the others, but they catch for me, and I'm happy.
